At the same time an intumescent disk in the top of the fitting fuses the ventilation holes closed and completes the double safety protection. The fitting is then activated and will remain intact from fire ingress for the duration of 130 mins to match the performance of the fire rated ceiling and protect the property to allow evacuation.
